Testing Tuesdays 1 - Bakery box from ketochefs.co.uk

For our first product test we have a bakery box from ketochefs.co.uk. We selected the 3 items, bread, scones and red velvet cupcakes.
Ordering was easy. Delivery a little slow but that was the courier rather than ketochefs.
We love the fact that lots of their products (including these 3) are freezer friendly - as a couple we wouldn't get through any of these before the best before dates.
Sliced Low Carb Rustic Sandwich Loaf (700g) £4.99
The bread is good! It is a 700g loaf but be aware the nutrition label is for 100g and 26g which may make you think a slice is 26g....we found ours to be more like 35g - so the carbs per slice is around 0.8g which is still lower than other brands we have tried or baked.
Lovely bread, a bit on the dense side - but tasty and a good sized slice. It works well for sandwiches and also toasts very well.

9/10 - the 26g labelling lets it down
Would we buy it again?
Yes - and, compared to other loaves, its not too expensive.
Pipe it yourself - Red velvet cupcakes (6) £11.99
It's a mixed result here. The cupcakes are amazing. That's all there is to say!!
They are light, chocolaty, really delicious. They come with a tasty cream cheese topping in a pipping bag so you can add it yourself.
The downside is the packaging. Ours came loose in their box, even though it has holders to try to keep them in place. Most the the cupcakes had come loose in their paper cases (and note you don't get the cases they use in the online photo) and as a result one cupcake had lost it's top. You can see this in the photo we took - we had added the cream cheese, but the cupcakes are in the condition we found them when we opened the box.

8/10 - this would have been a clear 10/10 had it not been for the packaging and we felt the amount of cream cheese topping was a little on the mean-side also they're not very 'red'
Would we buy it again?
Yes! Probably tomorrow. But please ketochefs, sort out the packaging.
Savoury Mature Farmhouse Cheddar & Mustard Scones (6) £11.99
These are OK but not outstanding. They have a heavy weight and density to them which is ok, but also more of a thick-cake consistency than a crumbly scone feel.....but we appreciate these are Keto, so they are never going to be the same as their carb siblings.
They have a strong herby taste, which is nice, but there isn't enough cheese or mustard flavour coming through - either there's just not enough, or the herb flavour overpowers it.
We had with butter and I would assume they'd work well with pate or cream cheese
They don't look as cheesy topped as their photos on the web.
Score out of 10?
6/10 - to herby, not cheesy enough and you will either like or dislike the texture. We also feel they're quite
pricey for what you get.
Would we buy it again?
Possibly. Jonathan would occasionally. Jane wouldn't.
