Success Sundays start here!

In success Sunday blog posts I’m going to explore why and how Keto has been successful for me. I do think diets are very personal thing and what would one work for one person will not necessarily work for another and this is certainly true of me. As a woman of a certain age losing weight is a real challenge - for some reason you get past 50 and every ounce of fat on your body seems to have decided it wants to stay forever! That said this time round I’ve been on this diet longer than any other and lost more weight in total than any other. The rate of loss has been a lot slower but there have been times when I have looked at my plate of food and thought “diet what diet?“ Isn’t that the way everyone would want to lose weight? So what has made the difference this time, because this is not the first time I’ve adopted a low-carb diet? When the Atkins diet was all the rage I did it and when low-carb high-fat diet first came out I did it, but I didn’t manage to stay on it for as long and for as successfully as I have this time. I’m going to break the secret of my success down to a few different headings which I will then tackle one at a time in a bit more depth.

1: is breakfast really the most important meal of the day?

2: Do you really need to weigh yourself every day or even every week?

3: Having someone to diet with really does make a difference!

4: If you don’t eat sugar you don’t crave sugar.

5: You need to do this for the long term.

6: You’ve still got to live!

7: Be kind to yourself. Dwell on the positives.

8: Find what works for you.

9: Doing it for the right reasons.

10: Variety is the spice of life!

So, next time I’ll be asking “Is breakfast really the most important meal of the day?” …see you then!
